Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A query entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates it. That company processes the terms and supplies any response. We do not keep or log those search terms on our own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or contact submission may be retained long enough to respond and maintain the related correspondence. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Loading a page can cause the server to record routine technical details about that visit:
- Page-view times and the pages viewed
- Device type and operating system
- Browser name and version
- The device's assigned IP address
- Approximate time spent on visited pages
- A referring website, when one supplied the visit
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files saved on a device. They and analytics services help combine traffic data, such as which pages receive visits and where sessions end. Browser controls can reject or remove cookies, though blocking them may change how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Routing a search request to the provider selected by the visitor
- Maintaining reliable operation and page speed
- Finding and correcting technical faults
- Measuring which information visitors use
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
Pershing County Criminal History does not host, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Its published material explains how to reach the Pershing County Sheriff, Lake Township Justice Court, Eleventh Judicial District Court, Nevada State Police Central Repository, and Nevada Sex Offender Registry. Public access to government files is subject to the Nevada Public Records Act, NRS Chapter 239, while repository dissemination is controlled by NRS Chapter 179A. Visitor information is not assembled into a consumer report or a file about another person. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the embedded search tools. Their privacy terms, retention periods, and sharing practices govern any information entered there. We do not control those practices. Visitors should read the provider's policy before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to courts, the Sheriff's Office, Nevada agencies, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows one, the destination's policy governs the visit and any data supplied there.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select ads. Their tracking is not operated by us.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information can be available to:
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance
- Search partners that process a visitor's submitted query
- Advertising networks serving placements on the site
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal demand
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for collected information. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, however, and this policy does not promise that unauthorized access or a breach can never occur.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. Information identified as belonging to a minor will be deleted when we learn of it.
Your Data Rights
Nevada law, including the privacy requirements in NRS Chapter 603A, may provide rights based on a visitor's residence and the law's scope. Requests may include the ability to:
- Opt out of processing where applicable law supplies that choice
- Ask for access to personal data held about you
- Request deletion where the law requires it
- Seek correction of inaccurate personal data
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as practices or legal duties change. A revised version will appear here and carry a new effective date, so visitors should review the page from time to time.
Effective date: August 1, 2026
